Broken SRAM red shifter paddle

All,

I snapped off the front (left) shifter paddle on a SRAM Red Double-tap shifter in a crash last week. The brake was unaffected and the shifter mechanism still works but can't be used while riding as there is no leverage due to the missing paddle.

Is it possible to replace just the paddle or am I looking at replacing the entire brake/shifter assembly?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice?

Bruce

as it is with most shifters today ,you'll need to replace the unit and not the missing or broken part.

Aren't the sram units rebuildable?

I have seen tutorials where people take the guts out of their left sram shifters to save weight when they are running single ring CX.

There has got to be a place to buy just those parts...maybe someone is selling their internals that they stripped out

The crash was during a race so I didn't realize that the shifter had sheared until I was already back on the bike. I went back to the scene of the crime later in the day and couldn't find the missing piece. Good idea, though.
