What is included with Zipp wheels
hi guys like the tittle says:
I was looking to buy some mavic wheels and while doing the research I noticed that they come with bags and some other tools. Now that I am looking at Zipps, I cannot find any information. I asked the store from where I plan to purchase they mentioned that skewers or nothing for that matter are included.
At the price I am going to pay I would at least like a little bag with a "warranty" card or box or something. How do you tell a 2008 wheel from a 2009. I dont want to get screwed by my shop....
Thanks,

I'd call Zipp directly with these questions. Many wheel sets don't include the qr skewers and wheel bags are a rarity but Zipp would have the definitive info.

You noticed that just now? 98% of the threads are ******** on that forum. The other 2% are incorrect mechanical advice.

which is a shame. The R/C forums I read are much more useful and serious than that other forum
anyway,
If anyone knows for sure, please let me know.

Are you refering to the "Road" forum on Bikeforums or to road bike riders in general? If the later, I certainly don't understand why you made the comment. You are asking for very specific information on a specialized and expensive wheel set and there will be few owners here or anywhere else. As I first recommended, ask the manufacturer if you want definitive information.

I just got off the phone w/ Zipp
For anyone who would like to know:
The wheels come with:
Information packets (literature on care and such)
Stainless steel skews
valve stem extensions
There is no difference between the 808/404 2009 versus 2010.
So don't let you LBS tell you they don't come with anything !

Interesting. I just looked up Colorado Cyclist's web site listing of Zipp 404 wheels and they specifically state they do NOT come with the qr skewers. And that's for a $2100 wheel set.
Branford Bike's web site says nothing about what the various Zipp wheel sets include.
