braze on front derailler alignment

I am building up a bike with a front derailleur braze on and the alignment is off.
Sort of like how it is shown in this thread.

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...leur-alignment

Seems like it shouldn't be a big deal to bend it slightly.

But I want to avoid what is shown here:

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...railleur-mount

In my case the derailleur is off by a good 5 degrees (estimate, not measured) so that there
is a pretty big difference between the front and the back. I can still shift (in the stand) but
there is a lot of rubbing going on.
No pictures and I am not home for 4 days...

Anyway, any tips?

As noted in the past threads, I would try , very carefully, bending the front deralleur, just a bit, in order to try to re align. In my past experience, you can very carefully and depending on the quality of the frameset and braze-on, bend the front derailleur braze-on just a bit. Obviously, no one wants to have the braze-on snap off. I think that as long as you take your time and do this vdery slowly and carefully, you should be able to bend the front derailleur just enought to alleviate the rub.
