9 Spd DA (7701) and Ultegra (HG-93?) Chain Question

I'm currently running a DA chain on my tandem. I'm liking the master pin idea especially as I need to use more than one chain for my drive line. I may switch to Ultegra since they are a bit less expensive. Does the Ultegra 9 speed chain take the same master pin or is it specific to the HG-93?

BTW, my tandem with hyperglide chainrings and a 11-34 Deore cassette is shifting much better with the Shimano chain than with the previous SRAM.

Try SRAM 900 series chains. They seem to wear better for me.

The same special Shimano pin is used to join all Shimano 9-speed chains.
