Campy Ergo Shifter location on Deda Electa bar
I have a brand new build using the Deda Electa bar and Campy Ergo Shifters. Trouble is I can't mount these in a location that will allow a flat surface to the hoods. I tried bringing the shifter higher to alleviate the slight low spot between the curve and the hoods but the cables have a hard time entering their cable channels if I mount too high. Has anyone out there ever setup these bars? If you have, what was your measurment from the bottom of the bar to the tip of the shifter lever? Is it uncommon to put more tape in the low section or am I up to high?

Here are some more pics. Does anyone notice anything out of place? Maybe its just the design of the bars. If that's the case I'm screwed.

different bars have different curvatures, and some allow for a completely flat, unbroken merging line between the "ramp" of the bar and brake hood, others don't. I suspect you're just going to have to live with it, and it won't be all that bad. the Campy Ergopower hoods are rather large/long anyway, and should be comfortable for your hand as-is; the only thing you don't have with current bar is ability to slide your hand along any position between the ramp and the bar and not notice a dip.
