what's your favourite bearings supplier?
who has the highest quality bearings (in terms of durability)? who has the easiest-to-deal-with company? who has the best prices for a decent quality bearing?
last week i noticed one of my speedplay frog pedals was bone dry. so last night i rebuilt it. this morning i left for work with both pedals spinning nice and smooth. but halfway through the day, the other pedal got jealous and one of the bearing races jumped out of place and dislodged several of the pins. ha. anyway, now i will have to order some bearings (forget the $40 rebuild kit from speedplay). and i'm thinking.. i may as well stock up on other bearings i use a lot. so i want to make a good investment. where should i turn? i already have this link for the pedal bearings i need: https://www.vxb.com/Merchant2/merchan..._Code=bearings
thanks much, everyone!

Any industrial bearing house in your area. Most of the bearings are not exculisively for bikes.

VXB is a good supplier. McMaster-Carr will sell you almost any kind of bearing, but it isn't particularly cheap -- fast though. Applied industrial supply might have an office near you; there's one 1/2 mile from my house. Boca bearings is popular.

First I call and see who may have it in stock when I want it now, if not then it's price driven. Many bearing houses have Sat AM hours too or will deliver for a fee. Often places like Grainger or Fastenal will carry bearings too. I use Motion Industries along with some small local guys.
