Shimano Ultegra Headset replacement bearing cartridge

I'm looking to replace the bearing cartridges on a 10 year old threaded Shimano Ultegra Headset. I couldn't find the exact model and also couldn't find only replacement cartridges. Anyone know if the Shimano 600 headset has the same size bearing cartridges or if it's possible to purchase the cartridges seperately?

Thanks

There is a seal that can popped off with a small screwdriver. The seam runs along the outside of the bearing. Open it up and inspect it. You may be able to clean and grease and reuse it.

Remove the bearings and take them to a local bearing supplier.
they should be able to match them up.

Before seeing the other replies I ordered replacement cartridges. When I get them I'll see if I can open up the seal and replace and regrease the bearings.

Thanks
Doug

The model number is most likely HP-6500 as I believe it was the last model Ultegra headset Shimano made before pretty much abandoning headset manufacture. I have them on a couple of bikes and they are a super bargain and wonderfully durable and reliable. They were 80% of the quality of a Chris King at 30% of the cost.
