Cervelo S1 Seatpost Installation Question

Hi all, anyone ever installed an S1 seatpost? I'm talking about the top attachment - there seems to be no real way of securing it besides a hex nut you sort of screw against the seatpost head column. Is this how it's supposed to be?

That's the seatpost head I'm talking about - there's nothing for the hex nut to screw into.

The seat "mast" itself has a 5mm hex key that tightens against the round part of the "post" pictured in your picture that is the only way it secures. This is how it's supposed to be
