Any noticeable, functional differences between these bikes?

I have bike fever and have it narrowed down to these 2.
https://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...ht+1&Type=bike
https://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...+5.0&Type=bike

They are both new 09’s, and the price is the same.

The cranksets are the same. The Transeo has a 7gear, 14-34 tooth cassette. Insight has an 11-28 tooth. How much faster will it be?

The Transeo has 700x38c tires, the Insight has 700x32c. Are those both 85psi tires? Will the Transeo stand potholes better? Would the Insight do ok on a path?

..or are they so similar, I should just pick the one that looks better?
Thanks, Russ

Hehe, you mean the screen name? That's just kind of been my default for years. Saves confusion.

My car is a 69 FB mustang w/ a 71 Torino 4bbl 351c.
cam is big; 243/256-512/536 soild lift, Reed cam. HarlandSharp rollers. Edelbrock Torker.
Barry Grant double pumper, BG fuel pump/reg, MSD box & dist, ATI c-4, small convertor, 4.11 nine inch.
Idles rough until you get it going. Def a purpose built car. Fun for friday nights. X-D

I wish I could test them both. This is a mail order deal.

I am 6' with 32" stand over. That's what I'm picking frame by.
Transeo: XL is 32.4" standover [L = 30.7 standover]
Insight: XL is 31" standover [21" frame]

Is there other geometry I should consider?

Searched for a "how to choose a bike" sticky. Is there not one?
