Rear V-brake, use stops or run housing all the way?
I'm building up a LHT with V-Brakes. The frame comes with stops for the rear brake on the top tube. Is there any advantage to not using the stops and running housing all the way to the noodle?
The advantage I can think of is that less dirt will get in the housing. I'll be using fenders on this bike so I am not sure how much of an issue this is.
The disadvantage is that it is somewhat clunky to not use the stops. Also, perhaps there is more cable friction (not sure).

yep, you've pretty much nailed it in the head.
full housing = cleaner cable, but more sluggish
partial housing = easier to get cable dirty, but less sluggish (that's not to say that it won't be sluggish)
IMO, there's no need to run the housing for the full length of the cable unless your bike just can't do it, like my folder. My folder which has a rear brake that's like a stress ball to squeeze and stops like a train.
