Tektro RL720 cross brake: Pin getting loose

I've had these brakes for years and I've been noticing the pin that attaches the lever keeps moving up bit by bit. Well it's a lot now and I'm worried it will just fall off one day.

Would someone please help on how to fix this?

Try the little set screw you see in the middle there

I have. I actually removed the screw and I tried pounding the pin in with a hammer.

The pin must be lined up exactly with the holes in the body on both sides before it will drive in flush. Look at the hole on the opposite side and wiggle the pin until it is aligned properly and it should slip back in with little force. Once it's centered, replace and tighten the set screw.
