Shimano bottom bracket upgrade...
I need to replace the bearings on my Shimano Hollowtech II road bottom bracket.
I was thinking to use the Phil Wood PWX05 (6805),
Anybody knows if they run smooth like hybrid ceramics ?
According the information that i fund on the web they are high quality ss bearings at good price,i think is alternative, less expensive choice, to hybrid ceramic.
If anybody are familiar with them or have another option please advice.
cant really go wrong with phil wood. also check enduro
What kind of bike? Unless you're riding a high-end bike built entirely of top-notch hardware, you'll get much better improvement on your ride per dollar spent if you spend your money on other components and just get a 105 bottom bracket.

Becuase it's time to change the bb bearings i was thinking to upgrade them....
How long did the OEM bottom bracket last and what are the failure symptoms? Maybe you should have your bb shell faced before replacing it with an other that will also fail rather soon if the alignment isn't good enough.
Shimano bottom bracket upgrade..
I use it about 2 years, symptom, a kind of rolling "resistance"...
