    CCM Elan Brake Issue

I'm rebuilding a CCM Elan and had to pick up some new brakes as I've misplaced the original side pull. Being impatient, I picked up a cheap side pull set to tide me over for now.

Here's my issue. The new brakes have the curved bushings to mount on a round brake bridge and the CCM brake bridge is flat. Can these brakes be mounted on this brake bridge? I'm hoping it's a simple matter of adding some spacers after removing the curved bushings or grinding them flat?

Thanks, in advance, for the advice.

OH there is just a concave washer on the mounting bolt? yes you can remove that and use a flat washer or spacer. what you really want is what some call a 'star' washer like this. it helps keep the brake centered.

I guess I'm talking about the radius bushing. Here's a diagram.

OH IC your radius is cut into the brake not an extra washer. I suspose you could cut it of and make it flat. if the bolt was long enough I mught try using a radiused washer and turn them towards each other. you LBS should have something.
