American Classic conversion cassette QC
I don't know if anyone else has this problem.
I was cleaning my bike today, and while cleaning out the cassette cogs I noticed (after all the grime came off) that the nickel plating on the larger gears was flaking off. A couple of the smaller gears also had the same problem.
One of the large gears actually still had a piece of the nickel plating hanging, so I pulled it out and it was like pulling off dry paint.
The cassette has about 500 miles on it (computer died too ... seem to go through those like butter).
Great QUALITY CONTROL American Classic! ... geez ... I guess that's what I get for buying crap made in Malaysia.
Shoulda splurged for the DuraAce 10s ....... maybe not.
