Specialized Hardrock XC questions

Does anyone know the actuation on a shimano altus? Looked on google and no dice. Also what is the pedal thread on Specialized cranks?

Pedals come in 1/2 inch BMX and 9/16 "Other" flavours. If you have regular crank arms then they'll be the 9/16 inch pedals.

What do you mean by "actuation"? On the rear they are all the same (other than the seldome seen Rapid Rise) and pull to go up and in. On the front they come in top and bottom pull flavours depending on which way the cables run on your Hardrock. On the front the cable always pulls to draw the derrailleur cage inwards.

Figured out my pedal questions. I am sorry i wasn't clear on that i was asking. On the rear derailleur what is the pull ratio I.E. 1:1 or 2:1. I wanting to change my shifters to rapid fire style and need to know.

Buy Shimano shifters and they will be compatible. Shimano is all 1:1 other than maybe some oddball high end stuff that I don't know about.
