Repair parts for Ultegra

Took a nasty spill the other day and did some damage to my Ultegra STI shifters. Are any repair parts sold for Ultregra STIs, or do I have to live with what is thankfully just some cosmetic damage?

YOu can buy the tumbnail covers if you scratched those. Those are the parts at the top/front of the shifter that probably says something like "ultegra flightdeck".

1. Go here: http://techdocs.shimano.com/techdocs...&bmUID=iCL_._2

2. Scroll down to "ST Dual Control Levers."

3. Under the sub-heading for your model, click the link starting with "EV-ST..."

You'll get a PDF of the exploded view of your levers with a list of all part code numbers below. Theoretically, your LBS should be able to order just the parts you need from Shimano.

They're a pain to overhaul though. Depending on what parts are needed you might be better off either living with it or replacing the entire lever.

This is an example of what jasonrobo02 was talking about: http://www.amazon.com/Ultegra-ST-651.../dp/B001GSMI7S

The STI's either work or they don't. You can do this test yourself simply by shifting through all the gears. The faceplates are purely cosmetic and replaceable.
