1 inch threaded stem with a poptop to easily change handlebars?
I have a trek 700 Multitrac with riser bars that have GripShift and I have found a flat bars with integrated brake/sifters.
I want to change from the riser bars to a flat bar, and I also do not like the GripShift arrangement. This handlebar switch seems to make sense...
The stem I have requires me to remove everything to change the handlebar. The bike I have with the flat bar and brakes/shifters has a poptop stem, that makes it easier to change. Is there a manufacture that makes a replacement i inch stem with the poptop I can use in my older Trek 700?

Let your fingers do the walkin. Google your favorite shops online, ask your local shop, or shop ebay. There's many mtb and road quill stems with a removable face available.

The only quill stem I could find with a removeable face is this one, I bought one for a old MTB bike with a porn star stem and 25.4mm bars:
1" stem: https://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...&category=1734
1 1/8" stem: https://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...&category=1734
it also comes in a version for 26mm bars:
1" stem: https://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...&category=1728
another choice is an adapter that allows you to use a modern stem:

Profile Design still makes their BOA quill stem with a removable faceplate for 25.4 mm bars and 1" steerers.

when I was looking for an ATB style 1'quill with a removable faceplate, the only goodlooking one I saw was the Salsa SUL in ChroMoly but alas it is out of production. the Profile works but looks are.....
the quill adaptor is a good option as it lets you go to a 1 1/8" stem wich gives you more options.
on a different note, are the STI shifters/brakelevers (the flat bars have shimano right?) compatible with your derailleur system?

{after #5} Consider putting a Quill to thread-less adapter on instead of the quill stem,
then you can use any thread-less stem out there
and they pretty much all have removable face-plates ..
want tall, there are tube type stem raisers , a quill at the base , and tube at top will take a Quill stem, or the adapter mentioned above..
I like BBB's BHP in 1"(20) or 9/8" (21) its an aluminum quill , with spacers to go on top , I used the 9/8 version to add height and a second threadless stem on my Trekking bike.
2nd stem for the handlebar bag mount under the prime stem.

Something like this?
Origin 8 -1" quill to 1 1/8" threadless adaptor with a modern stem and handle bar.

They are very similar to these, but not quite the same. Hope they will work...

That bike has a mountain triple. Stock shifter is an MRX Gripshift. Those levers should work with the stock derailluers.
