Campy upgrade question

I'm just a little bit 'old school' - maybe...

Getting back into riding quite a bit more.
Have a ~93 Cannondale frame w/ Sub 1 fork that fits me fine and is fine shape overall.
Drivetrain is Campy Chorus (8speed). Same ~ 93 era with tubular rims and 32h Phil Wood hubs / freewheel.

Thinking about moving up to either 9 or 10 speed cassette and dumping the tubulars for clinchers. As much as I love the ride I understand the newer clinchers are much improved. I'm purely a recreational rider now and about tired of messing with sew-ups.

Question:
Is my rear & front derailleur compatible with either 9 or 10 speed campy?
Kinda of looks like the existing derailleurs might at least work with the 9 speed.
Pros or cons on 9 versus 10 speed? Any downside with 10 speed such as being more temperamental?

End result: Looking for a little tighter gear selection and upgrading wheelset (figured if changing wheels this is the time to upgrade the drivetrain).
Also looking to minimize cash outlay as we have PLENTY of other projects around the house
Or just keep the old 8 speed and keep on rollin'?

Thanks for any input,
Steve

Upgrading to 9 or 10 speed is a waste of time. 11 speed is already down to Athena (SR, Record, Chorus). There's no reason to buy deprecated 9/10 campy groups. The entire group can be had for just under $1k. Do this, if you really want to spend money on upgrading.

None of your 8s stuff will work with the new 9/10/11.

Tighten up the ratio selection in freewheel cogs , then get a triple crank to extent the range you can use those 8 over.

rebuild the Perfectly good Phil hubs into clincher rims.

Happy with My Campag race triple, but they discontinued all the square taper stuff in '06.
so seeking out old stock is the challenge, or that Auction site thing..

6 speed freewheels 13-28 , 50.40,24 works for me , <c> friction bar ends from the 70s, rider from '47..
