Non-replaceable derailleur hangers on tri bikes?

What's the deal with that? I've noticed it on Giants and Cervelos at least. Both companies use replaceable hangers on their road frames and the tri geeks I know crash and drop their bikes at least as much as roadies do.

What's the frame made of? Steel and Ti can be bent back in line. Soft Al as was on the 5200 and 5500 treks were also straightenable.
