New chain and speed
 
Newbie question.
Bike -Trek Madone 5.2, two years old, 2500 miles.
I just change chain and cassette in store. Bike runs ok, but slowdown a little.
Is that normal and just taking a time to be back or I have ask store for adjustment?

What do you mean "slows down a little? Do you mean that when you stop peddling the bike slow? If that is the case I would suspect a wheel rubbing. check to see if the rear wheel is centered.

No mechanical change in your drivetrain should cause the bike to ride slower. That's determined by the engine.

If they changed the cassette size it might feel different since the gear ratios are different, but even that won't cause a net change is speed or power. I suggest you give the engine a good tune up.

It's definitely the factory lube that comes on the chain that is slowing you down. Clean it off and lube with something decent, and you'll be back to your old speed right away. bk

I hope this was posted tongue-in-cheek. The OP is a newby and may not realize how absurd this statement is.

Its looks like I fill more resistance to ride.
As result instead of 16-28 mph I can only run 13-15mph

Cassete is same, will ask tuneup, thank you.
