My wife bought a 09 Giant Sedona and I am just curious as to why this thing has two eyelets on the back of one fork, but not the other. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Anyone know why these things are here?

I think they're meant for disk brake hardware?

Doh! I thought of everything except that! I looked up the different models of the Sedona and they do make a model with disc brakes... Thanks

They bought a suspension fork to equip their bike builds with from another company,
either or kind of brake mount , by having both.
