crank set and axle compatibility question
i'm looking to buy a new crankset. i'm wondering if that would require a new axle? what are some things i should keep in mind to make sure of compatibity? i have a truvativ set on right now, but would like to switch it out for possibly a different size. are cranksets something that can usually be easily switched out, or are there a number of things that need to be considered first to be sure of compatibity? what is the difference between squared and splined in relation to the axle or bottom bracket?
sorry if this questions doenst make sense. i'm trying to understand!
