I'm a knucklehead with screw drivers and wrenches... is there an easy way to fix it? It's stuck on my little ring on my road bike. It has two screws on top, plus a cable that's held in place by a nut.

You stated in another thread that the front shifting suddenly failed during the final miles of your ride. I suspect your issue may be due to a broken cable. Or...possibly...the cable slipped at the pinch bolt on the FD.
