Chirping Sound?

Today my Road Bike started making an obnoxious chirping sound. Could not tell if it was front or back. The sound start when I hit about 17 mph and continue if I am pedaling or coasting. No brake rubs, shoe or pedal problems. Ideas?

Yeah, probably a hub seal. My front hub does that sometimes after riding in the rain. If it's a front, hold the wheel flat and dribble some chain lube where the axle penetrates the hub, while rotating the wheel.

I had the hub overhauled and that appears to have fixed my crickets.

Thanks.

for future reference, that issue is almost always just the rubber outer seal. a single drop of tri-flow or other lube at the seal will silence it and costs almost nothing.
