    Rust Removal

What's the best and most non-intensive manner of removing rust from a paint nick. Not that there's a lot of rust- just where the paint was scraped away?

I'd like to just remove the rust- and coat over it with clear nail polish.

So just sand judiciously... do I need any other prep or anything?
