Bought new Shimano SLX rear brake, question about adapter...

I read somewhere online that the Hayes rear adapter for the 180mm rotor will work for the Shimano SLX caliper. Is this true? I have the Hayes adapter still. I just wanna know if I really have to get the new adapter. Thanks in advance.

Should I have posted this in the bicycle mechanics forum? The description under this forum said to ask about gear here, too. Anywho...

Never mind. I got the brake in the mail the same day I posted this (yesterday). I put the brake on and it works perfectly. It's a really really nice feeling brake, too! I did have to trim the hose, which is actually pretty simple to re-assemble without having to bleed the brake.
