Tick From Front Wheel

I've got a very quiet tick sound coming from the front wheel. Going straight you can barely hear it but when I make a hard right it gets much louder. I checked the spokes and they're all evenly tensioned so I'm assuming it has to be in the sealed bearings. Anything else I should check?

I would check for spots where the rim hits the brake pad first. I had a tick driving me nuts for two years, turns out it was the magnet for the computer being too close to where two spokes crossed!

Hmmm, it does seem to be once per revolution and can't be duplicated when the wheel isn't loaded. I'll have to look at the spokes again.

Check where spokes cross and touch each others. Sometimes grease and dirt can make them stick togther and make a ticking sound. Also lossen and then re-lock your quick release to ensure the wheel is propely seated.

I have had valve stems tap (rattle) on the rim hole I my stems are smooth so I will wrap tape around it to stop the noise if you have the lock screws make sure they are snug after inflating the tube.

Is your speed sensor making contact with the magnet. I have had that happen. Unloaded, the magnet clears the sensor. Under load, it makes contact and causes a ticking noise which gets louder in turns as the spokes are deflected even further.

Good luck.
