Mechanical disc brake pads stopping short

I have some '06 Nashbar mechanical disc brakes. The pads are stopping short. Is there a spacer which should go in there under the magnetically retained pads?

I don't know how I could have ever worn down the pads so much that they would stop short with a visible gap.

It's not a cable adjustment issue because one can see how much travel the arm has left in it.

I read somewhere that Nashbar brakes are actually Tektro brakes.

Have a look at the Tektro manual below, it'll give you an idea on how to adjust your brakes:

Thanks, that did it. I figured they were tektro and looked for that same information, but for some reason it didn't come up or I didn't wade far enough through the google hits. And you can't search this forum because the keywords are too common.
