Front brake cable with cantilever, should i use the elbow or not?

Front brake cable with cantilever, should i use the elbow or not?
I have an elbow that goes on the brake line hanger on my front brake for my canti's. This elbow creates alot of friction in the system (as i leanred when i pulled my cable through to replace brake lines). Should i eliminate it and just run the ferrule into the hanger if i can get the cable in without significant sharp bends?

Personally, I would try it without the elbow. See how it works, and replace the elbow if the cable casing looks like it is ready to kink.

I'd reorganize the spacers so that the brake cable hanger is the lowest in the stack so that the brake cable housing can have the biggest arc possible for smooth cable movement.

I've never set up a bike with drop bars that benefited from the elbow. I'd ditch it. If you deem it necessary (really small bikes for instance) a V-brake noodle often does a better job.

Yeah, get rid of the elbow. Place the hanger at the bottom of the spacer stack and let the cable-housing create the necessary bend. Typically the housing will be much more gradual and gentle than that elbow.

Have done as you guys recommended... i don't know if it was eliminating the interrupter brakes i had or the elbow, or the cable link's i added, but stopping power is MUCH improved
