Removing/Installing carbon seatstays?

I have a frame that I absolutely hate the color over of and I would like get it powdercoated. Unfortunately though, It has carbon seatstays (wishbone style)?. Was curious of the step involved to remove and reinstall?

. I believe you can mask off stuff with rubber sheets, and blast just the parts you want,

. you can probably buy new carbon sub assemblies, there are pre formed ones,
since you may have to destroy the other ones .

. or, just get out a few spray cans and be done with it , just overspray with more paint..

+1 The powder coat has to have a large amount of heat applied to it to take. No grease or glue allowed.

since the issue is just color .. buy a different frame in your preferred shades ,
take the loss and sell the one you don' t like, cheap, and it will sell quickly..

They are bonded (epoxied) in and you can't remove them.

Instead of powder coating get it spray painted at an autobody shop.

if it is epoxied in than they can be removed, you heat epoxy to break the bond with a torch and pull them out. I wouldn't be doing it, but thats how you detach something that has been epoxied

+100. While you can probably remove the stays with enough heat or force, you will never reinstall them properly. Forget it.
