front/rear specific v-brake arms -- what is the difference?

Hello,

Some v-brakes (e.g., Avid SD7) I see sold in a front-specific and rear-specific version.

What is the difference between the two, typically? (And specifically, for the SD7?)

Thanks!

I don't know about the SD7 but typically the difference between front and rear brakes is which pad is installed on which arm. Some linear pull brakes also spec different noodles for the front and rear.
