Vintage tools (???)
Greetings!
I have an old Nishiki Century (~20yrs) and am looking for a
discontinued Park b.b. tool - an HCW-2. I posted on the
"want to buy" section but have not got a hit. Also, I
can't find anything on Ebay.
Anyone got any suggestions for where I might find this, and
other, vintage tools?? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks ;-)

Have you tried contacting Park Tool? They'd probably either send you one or maybe lend you one - I'm sure they'd love to help you out .

Try www.loosescrews.com. I don't know if they are anymore, but they used to be connected with another operation called "The Third Hand" that marketed bicycle tools some of which were seriously wierd.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Yes, I did go directly to Park. Here is their reply:
"We no longer offer this tool. You may with luck find one on Ebay."
Don't get me wrong, I love their stuff. But, not much help here ;-(

Thanks, Doc! I am pursuing this. One thing that is not good
is that the picture on the page you sent me is NOT an HCW-2,
despite the fact they say it is ;-(

Thanks RG! No luck, but a nice source. It was funny ...... when I went to that site it looks VERY similar to the BikeToolsEtc.com site (my favorite bike tool source - excellent!!!). As it turns out, both companies are in Ashland, OR. and both sites use the same site hosting/authoring service. I am going to guess that one of these companies spun off from the other. Or, maybe they just break a lot of bikes up in Ashland ;-)
