it slips on worn cogs. the vise whip also looks faster to use. i work in a shop so time is money. its also the slow season so i got nothing better to do than cruise bike forums and look at QBP

The pricing is kinda ridiculous, if you ask me.

I have seen the LBS use and like the other posts point out it does appear to be faster.

My question: Does it clamp on the teeth or the spacers?

It clamps the teeth. Anywhere from 11t to 23t.

If this is the price point that maximizes their profit than it is not ridiculous. ;-)

Interesting never noticed this one before been just using my chain whips, think I will make me some jaws for one of my old vice clamps and see how I like it.

Been using one at the shop for a year or so. It works fine and is holding up well. I prefer the J.A. Stein Hyperhandle though, it's faster and easier to use than the Pedro's tool or a chain whip.

I tend to fumble a bit to get two whips postioned on a frewheel correctly before I tug on the whip handles. you really need three hands to get it done quickly. I could see who w vise whip could probably help....but at 70 bucks. maybe I'll just get two 22 dollar whips from Park instead. I like their long handles which would come handy with real tight cogs. The Spin Doctor whips I use seem to be just a tad too short to deal with the real tough ones.
