Trek 750 seat post outside diameter?

My quick-release clamp is giving me endless trouble, so I'm looking to install a Salsa Lip-Lock clamp on my Trek 750.

The seat post diameter is 27.2mm, but I can't find any info on the outside diameter, and don't have any calipers. Trying to take a ruler to the thing did me no good.

Anyone know this info off-hand? From research, it looks it's probably ~31.8mm, and so I'd go with the 32mm Salsa, but I want to make sure before I order.

Thanks.

Should be the same diameter as your FD clamp.
