Recommendation for Petra Cycles or Tredz???
I googled and found a replacement Truvative 42t 130 BCD steel chainring at Petra cycles and Tredz in the UK. Do any of you have enough experience with them to be able to give them a 5 star or so rating so I will have a warm, fuzzy about either??? Kindly - Don

I haven't bought anything from them, but I know the folks at Tredz and they are good guys.
My question (assuming you're in Maryland) is, can't you find something similar more locally. Postal transit time from the UK to the states can be 2 or more weeks.

You did not say what the cost of the chainring would be (no need to be exact - but ballpark will do). Locally alloy chainrings can be had for $15-$20 and steel chairings can be cheaper. Why do you want a steel chainring?

Also thanks. I would like to do something local, but local to me is 50 miles away in Nashville, Tennessee or possibly, Franklin which is about 35 miles.
