painting a bike with caliper paint

how durable is caliper paint. i think its ceramic and can be applied with a spray can. would it be good to paint my bike with?

I assume you are referring to automobile brake calipers, right? The paint used on them is chosen primarily for it's heat resistance, not for abrasion resistance so it may not be too durable on bike tubes.

Anything out of a can will not be too good. It will be enamel or lacquer based and will have little uv or abrasion protection. If you must, go to an autobody shop, pick put a urethane sealer/primer, base color & 2k clear. They can put it in a can. How ever, it would probably be just as much (or cheaper) to find a bodyshop to do it for you with professional results & materials.
