Inboard lawyer lips !!! So not only do you have unscrew your QR a ways but you also have to spread your fork to get the dang wheel out!
I've never seen this before today when I started removing useful parts from a dumpster find MTB. It's a Triton Baron, or I guess it could be a Baron Triton, who knows?
Pics to come.

Theres an interesting physics thing. when the torque centers around the Disc Brake caliper
and the axle swings around that new torque center
and out of the dropout.
Innovative builders have made forward opening dropouts, and just putting the caliper on
the front of the right blade, to cure that.
Mass market sticks with the usual stuff..

You can have the fork for cost of shipping if you'd like it fietsbob. Sorry, not disc. Drilled for centerpull/sidepull calipers. 1" threaded, 26" wheel. Oh you can have the wacky centerpull brake that's hanging on it also.
It could make an awesome practical joke fork - Will confound many who have never seen an inboard lawyer lips setup before.
Oh you can also pick it up if you're ever in the Portland Metro...

Yeah, I've got a growing collection of lawyer lipped forks. I should break out the angle grinder on them one of these days. Probably won't bother with the fork in question, the bike's too cheap for me to really want to ride. The Acera-hubbed wheelset is useful, and I think I'll use the stem for a trailer project, but that's about it.

One other thing worse than lawyer lips, IMO, tabbed washer wheel retention setups. Uggh!
Hmmm, well maybe not as bad. As soon as you toss the washers, then problem solved.

I have a couple of 90s BMX bikes that have a more annoying version of that. They use a spacer that looks like a top hat washer. Without the spacer, the axle just floats around in the enlarged part of the dropout slot. It's nigh impossible to keep the wheel straight, while tightening the axle nuts, without those spacers. They don't seem to be a commonly available part, either. Thankfully, I know of two different online stores that carry them.

I have a very serviceable 1" threaded Tange sloping cast crown
chromed chromoly mountain bike fork on my winter bike now ,
.. Lester, so you need to find another buyer, for that which does not satisfy you.
I suppose this is pre 'I wasn't thinking and hurt myself,
but I hired a personal injury lawyer, who works
for a % of the settlement payout', days,
as it's forged tips have no lips.
If you have some rapid mid race wheel change requirements, Les,
another fork will probably be more to your liking . or hire the dropouts to be replaced,
by a brazing equipment owner..
or quick and easy .. you could just add a washer in the cavity,
then cut an opening in the washer..

Where do you file the lawyer to get rid of the annoyance?
