Should Suspension Shocks be deflated during periods of storage?

This question came up in the Mountain Bike thread. It is bad for the seals to keep the forks inflated while stored? Is it better to keep pressure on or not. Help me Obi Bike Ken Obi, your my only hope!

What a great question bump! This is one hum-dinger of a noodle-scratcher I've been puzzling over lately too, bump.

And if it makes any difference, they are Fox shock and forks, which as a long-time motorcycle DIY-tinkler, I was surprised to learn don't even have any springs!

Thanks. Yours is quite fetching as well.
I just got the bike a few weeks ago and am still learning about this suspension, but the locked-out setting doesn't feel 100% locked to me.
(That, and I'm still trying to learn how to keep beef jerky from growing on my knees whenever I take this thing out.)
