Maximum tire clearence for Easton EC20 fork and Nashbar Caliper brakes?`
What is the widest tire I can get with a Easton EC70 road fork, and Nashbar calipers. I want to go up to 28s, but I don't know if they'd fit...

Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

Measuring will give you some idea, but you can never be too sure. The problem is that all tires are made differently and sit differently when mounted on a different rim. For instance, on my road bike I once raced a CX race on a super skinny set of with '28c' knobby tires, but the 28c road tire I bought last summer rub on the fork crown. If I were you I would measure and, if it seems likely to work, ask the LBS if I could return the tire in the event that it does not fit when mounted, then try another.
