27" Wheel- worth it?
LBS has a 27" double wall wheel on a freewheel hub for $25. Is that a good price and is it worth it? I'm building a single speed road bike and figured this is the best way to go. Its either that or find a whole bike to use for parts, at a garage sale or thrift store.
Suggestions?

The Sun ME13II 27" rim alone retails for about that, closer to $30 these days.

Hmmm that wheel is sounding pretty good. I think I'll just buy that and put a freewheel on it and call it good. Thanks for the replies!

You can also find 27" tires at Wal-Mart, K-mart, and assorted small town hardware stores, but you never see 700c tires.
