9 or 10 speed cranks?

just got fsa afterburner cranks from ebay for only $105, think they r 9 speed from the pics, but he doesnt say, any way to tell?

doesnt matter even if the rest of my drivetrain is 9 speed? will it shift/line up properly?

No it doesn't matter; yes it will.

This provided that your front derailleur and front shifter are designed for the number of chainrings on the crank, either two or three. The rear cluster doesn't care what you have up front (with certain caveats almost certainly irrelevant to you).

the thinner chainring teeth for 10 will take skosh wider 9 speed chain without issue.
