Why replace it? That's a great unit.

Great till it snaps in half 100 Km from home like mine did 2 weeks ago.

Am currently using 7800 shifters with 5700 F & R deraileurs, works fine, no issues with the shifting

A SRAM rear road derailleur is not compatible with Shimano STI shifters. Neither is Campy.

Except the new 10-speed MTB derailleurs. Road, 8, 9, and 10. MTB 8, 9.
