Help with Cassette and Bar End Shifter

I had a blow out today and want to use the rear wheel off my other road bike...

I have bar end shifters (dura ace) and my rear wheel has 9 sprockets (dura ace)... My other wheel (dura ace) has 10 sprockets... will it work? yes? no?

Only if you shift the right bar end to friction mode,
the cramming in #10 narrows the gaps between each cog.
so the click no longer lines up with the cog.
