Where can I get an adjustable clamp on downtube cable stop for two cables?
I'm working on a 5 speed freewheel to 9 speed cassette conversion and the only thing I'm having trouble finding is this. I know I can just use my downtube friction shifters, but if I have the brifters I might as well use those if I can.
Thanks,
Scott

I've seen those, but I don't have shifter bosses. I have the clamp on friction shifters, but the clamp is pretty rusted so I was hoping to find something to just get rid of it.

I can't help you - but I tried. I thought that I had one, and I still may, but I wasn't able to find it with a quick search. The trouble with such small parts if figuring a way to store it, and find it, when you want it.

Thanks. All of my spare parts are in a giant wood box I build, lol. I think I need an old dresser or something to organize. I was looking through them and found a couple suntour clamp on cable stops. I was thinking about drilling and tapping them so I can screw in barrel adjusters, but all of the barrel adjusters I took off of other parts are different sizes and I don't think I have enough room to drill and tap on the cable stop.

Kind of like this? https://www.biketoolsetc.com/index.cg...id=TK-105A/14B
I'll assume you're working with a 1 1/8" downtube. I'm pretty sure I've seen similar clamps that size- they were made when V-brakes started coming out and people needed clamp-on stops on bikes that had cantilever-specific cable guides. Easy enough to drill and tap the cable holes for barrel adjusters.

You could just use cable stops. The rear derailleur has a cable adjuster. You just have to play with the cable clampon the front derailleur until you get it right.
