Trek wheels

Does anyone know where trek is building their wheels now? I worked at the Waterloo Wi. factory as a wheelbuilding inspector and then as a wheelbuilding supervisor back in 1984. I could attest to the quality standards they had back then. They were very tight. Wheel truth and tension were job one. That was due to the manager of engineering, Bob Read, who has since passed away. Im not hearing real good things about trek wheel quality in this forum. Anyone have experience with less than quality wheels from the factory? Mike

So far my Bontrager Race wheels are great. No problems whatsoever.

I also have a set of Matrix wheels from 1988 which are also great.
