gap in my headset!
i'm putting together a campy chorus threadless headset and i have everything arranged the right way (to the best of my knowledge) and there is this maybe 1/8" gap between the top bearing cup and the little cap that goes on top of it. hopefully this is a stupid issue, which will offer a quick and easy answer.
this is how its all set up right now:
first, the head tube
on top of that, the cup where the bearing sits
on top of that, the bearing itself (which is definetly in the right way)
on top of that, the upper cone
on top of that, the little plastic dingey, with the tabby end pointing up
and finally the metal cap that should close it all up.
any hints?

The Cap with the bolt usually will mount on top of the Stem. The Fork Tube should be about 2mm below the Stem. Spacers are usually mounted below the stem. Then the cap and bolt will tighten the entire assembly.

Is this a standard threadless headset or a HiddenSet?

IF its a 1" headset, do you have the upper and lower bearings reversed? The bigger 3/16" are for the lower race and the 5/32" are on the top. If thats not it, try reversing the plastic centering device.
