28-38-48 chainrings available for Shimano 105 cranks?

I have an hybrid with low budget components on it and would like to replace some of them. I've got an older shimano 105 triple crank that I'd like to put on the hybrid but the existing chainrings on the "105" are not what I want (They're pretty worn anyway). I'd like to keep the same gearing that's on the Hybrid cranks---28-38-48 but Shimano doesn't seem to offer those rings. Are there decent quality aftermarket chainrings that I can buy that will shift well with shimano components? And I guess another question would be is it practical from a money point of view. Would I be better off just ordering some decent touring cranks somewhere on-line like Sugino?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Bob

Any aftermarket chainrings with the proper bolt circle diameters would fit. A 38T is the smallest that will go on the 105's 130 mm outer BCD and a 28T will fit fine on the 74 mm BCD granny ring location so you are in luck there. Unfortunately most of the two larger chainrings in the sizes you want are made for a 110 mm BCD.

However, chainrings tend to be quite expensive bought separately and it might very well be less expensive to buy a complete crank and, perhaps, matching bottom bracket.

I'm with hillrider on this one.
new crankset + bottom bracket is often cheaper than trying to source 3 chainrings that aren't "regular" sizes.
