SRAM Red front Deraileur adjustment...HELP
New bike, all SRAM Red, KRC chain (slotted side plates), 50/34 chainrings, Shimano 10 Ultegra 11 -25 cassette. Chain rubs on the inside of the right side of the deraileur cage when chain is on the 34 and 12 tooth cog. If I adjust the deraileur stop, then the cage rubs on the left side of the cage when on the 34 and the 25. Seems like the cage is just a hair too narrow, say compared to a 7800 DA cage. Anybody got a fix for me....thanks

This is normal. I have a 50-34 with SRAM Red front and I get rubbing on the 11 and 12 cogs.

There is a way to remedy the problem, but you likely won't want to do it. The early Force shift levers permit trimming the front derailleur on the small chain ring but not the large. As I understand, on the Red shifters and the newer Force, you can trim the front derailleur on the large ring only. I have the early Force shifters with Red front and rear derailleurs. I can shift through all cogs from the large or small rinng with no rubbing -- even though I never use either extreme.

Is there a difference in size between the Red front derailleur and the Force or Rival derailleur? I have Force and Rival on two different bikes and get no rubbing on the small chainring. Just a thought (although I doubt this is the problem).
