Tighten the shock fork?
Hi there I'm usually on the the Clydesdales/Athenas site. I was wondering if I can tighten the shock on the fork? Its a little bouncy. Im not into mechanics but I can tighten . Didnt want to do it if it wasnt going to work. I rather not go buy a whole new fork. Thanks

Tighten? There're spring rate, spring preload, and damping. These three characteristics need to be appropriate to rider and riding conditions, and balanced among themselves. Could you describe the issues you are having in a bit more detail, and which fork it is you have?

This is my bike. https://www.raleighusa.com/bikes/hybrid/route-30-11/ Its just too bouncy for my taste. Im quite heavy and trying to lose the gut. I really don't need the shock for weight I am. Too bad I didn't know before hand. I think its a preload?

there should be a black knob at the top of each side of the fork. see if they have any arrows and markings. if not just turn them all the way one direction and test ride. if it does not get stiffer go the other way.
