I cant get my pininto my chain

I have a park tool chain breaker.............. took chain off, now ttrying to but back on buti cant get the pin in am i missing a secret here?

Yup - you're not supposed to actually remove the pin, just push it out far enough to break the chain . Your best bet would be to take another link off, leaving the pin attached this time.

wouldn't thant lead to problmes IE chain to short?

Yes you are what kind of chain is it will determine what you need to do. How many speed is the bike? What make is the chain?

By the way it is called a Chain Tool.

Correct to remove the pin part way for disassembly. But to install the chain and if it is a 9 and 10 speed chains it is required that then fully remove the pin and then you must use a new pin each time you install the chain.

Don't make the chain any shorter...that is not going to help and may cause shifting problems.

On older chains you resued the same pin.

treek 1200 i think its shimango HG chain ......maybye

umm i think i might have to replace the pins...............now that i put them in
